Taking a Wee Bit of a Rest
Two years now I have been writing to you without taking a break, and I feel the need for a bit of a rest. You won’t mind, will you?
There is school to finish up and presents to wrap. My girl comes home from college this Saturday, and I hope to sip hot chocolate with her while we watch a sappy Christmas movie.
Then in a week our family will drive the 12 hours to visit my folks. I’ll watch my brother’s little girls play dress-up, and I need to kiss the sweet neck of my one-year-old niece. Dad will take me for coffee before anyone else is dressed, and my mouth waters for a piece of my mom’s homemade toffee.
Thank you so much for joining me here, as I share the little and big things God teaches me day by day. I appreciate your kind and encouraging comments along the way. Hasn’t God taught us some rich truths this year?
I won’t be away long –just a few weeks. Follow me on Facebook, and I’ll post some family pictures along the way.
I’ll see you again come the new year.
I pray we can find many quiet, peaceful moments to enjoy knowing Christ and to love on each other.
Much love to you!
Good for you Christy. Will miss your bits of grace and wisdom. Enjoy the season and return refreshed! Hugs.
Thank you, Amy!
I pray you have a safe trip and a very Merry Christmas.
And a Merry Christmas to you, Jill!
I pray your time will be as delightful as it sounds and that you are refreshed, Christy. I pray blessings for you and yours.
I can use those prayers. Thank you, Kathy.
Have a wonderful Christmas!
Merry Christmas to you, too, Beth. Love you!
Love you too!
