Juice
I’m so stinkin’ tired. I started teaching a Bible study tonight (which I planned before I knew I was getting a job as a Spanish teacher), and tomorrow’s the first day of school, so I’ve been furiously making preparations for that.
I might not brush my teeth before I go to bed tonight. At our house, only the drop-dead-exhausted people skip teeth brushin’.
So here I am in front of my computer, sayin’, Lord, I’m out of juice. How in the world am I going to write a blog post?
And I am reminded the Lord doesn’t run out of energy to give me.
Like the glorious chocolate milk spigot in my college cafeteria.
Never-ending supply at the pull of a lever.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” (Isaiah 40:31 NIV)
I bet some of you woke up this morning and you’re feeling can’t-brush-your-teeth tired, and you haven’t even had breakfast yet.
Hope in the Lord, sister.
Strength is comin’.
Thanks Christy. I am also at a drop dead empty stage and have to write an article for Sunday’s bulletin as well as prepare for a women’s retreat on Saturday where I am the speaker. You are so right, when we spend time with God, He does provide. God bless you in your teaching job.
Thank you -and I pray God will give you the strength and the words to bolster women’s hearts at the retreat!
