You’ve worked hard on your content. Now let me come behind you, with my eye for detail, to make sure your work is as clearly communicated and as grammatically clean as possible.
I graduated from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, in Belton, Texas, with a degree in English. I’m also a published author, so I know the value of partnering with a good editor, who can bring a fresh eye to a body of work and elevate the quality of your writing.
One of my favorite activities is organizing the pantry. It’s super nerdy, I know, but when you hire me I will bring that same delight, to help you get your thoughts nice and tidy on paper and to get all of your little commas where they belong.
And did I mention my mother is a librarian? That should count for something.
I edit nonfiction work. I would be willing to give your fiction a go, but it would be a new endeavor for me. In all honesty, though, I think I have been editing fiction all of my life under my breath, without pay.
Copy and content editing are inseparable work to me, so if you hire me you get the whole package.
I would like to peruse your writing before agreeing to edit for you, and I reserve the right to decline any work which does not feel like a good match for me. In fairness, you also may ask me to edit a few pages of your writing, to see if I am a good fit for you.
My fee is $28 per hour. For a large manuscript, I will request partial pay up front.
I look forward to seeing your words and ideas.
