Brainwash Yourself

Matt poured my coffee.

I said, Um, can you fill it?

He said, It is full. 

I said, No, fuuuulll. 

So he started pouring, and when only surface tension was holding the liquid in the mug I told him he could stop.

He looked at me like I’m weird.

I said, It makes me anxious if it’s not full. When I was growing up, if the cup wasn’t fuuullll, dad would let me know it and bring me back to do the job right. In our house there was no short-changing a guy on a cup of milk or water or any other beverage.

So I’ve been brainwashed –hearing the same instruction over and over and over and over and over again, until I can’t live any other way.

Brainwashing ourselves?

GREAT idea when it comes to following Christ. Read Bible truth, listen to Bible truth, talk about Bible truth, memorize Bible truth, sing Bible truth –until we have anxiety to live any other way than by what’s in our brains.
